Session fees

This is a private-pay practice. Fees are listed in full below so you can decide with the numbers in front of you rather than after a phone call, and you may be able to use the out-of-network benefits in your plan.

Sessions are available at three lengths. Which one fits depends on the work we are doing together, and we decide that together.

The Fees

What a session costs

  • $275 55-minute session  ·  The standard appointment
  • $412.50 85-minute session  ·  An extended appointment
  • $550 120-minute session  ·  A double-length appointment
About the Fee

Why my fee is what it is

My professional fee of $275 for a 55-minute session reflects the specialized education, training, and experience that enables me to provide effective trauma therapy. This rate is based on current market standards for trauma specialists in our region, my advanced certifications, and the ongoing professional development I maintain to serve you well.

I have structured my practice to prioritize the quality and consistency of the care I provide. This means maintaining a sustainable caseload and engaging in regular consultation and continuing education, so that I can show up for you fully resourced and present. My fee supports this commitment to you.

Longer Sessions

Why some appointments run longer

The 85- and 120-minute appointments are not an upgrade. For EMDR and DBR, reprocessing work often needs more room than a standard hour allows: time to settle in, time to do the work, and time to come back to the present before you leave. A longer container is sometimes the clinically indicated one.

The extended fees are priced below the standard rate per minute. We discuss which length suits the work during our first conversation, and it can change as the work changes.

Insurance

Out-of-network benefits

I do not accept or bill insurance directly. You may still be able to use the out-of-network benefits in your plan.

Payment is due at the time of each session. At the end of every month I will give you a superbill, an itemized receipt of the sessions you attended, which you can submit to your insurance company to request reimbursement.

What comes back, if anything, is between you and your insurer. Coverage varies widely, and I cannot guarantee whether or how much you will be reimbursed.

It is worth calling the number on your insurance card before we begin and asking specifically about out-of-network outpatient mental health benefits: whether your plan has them, what the deductible is, what percentage of the fee is reimbursed once it is met, and whether any session limit applies.
